Sure, there is plenty your trusty iPhone can already do, but there are dozens of cool iPhone features hidden beneath the surface that you probably were not even aware of. Here is just a small sample of them!

1. Charge phone more quickly

Does your phone take forever to recharge? Well, there is a way to speed up the re-juicing process, and it is surprisingly simple – just engage Airplane mode. Knocking out all your phone’s Wi-Fi searching and other data drains, takes the strain off your battery while it is being powered up.

2. Create custom vibrations

Ever wished you could tell who is calling just by how your phone feels buzzing against your leg? Now you can! In Contacts, select your person of choice and hit Edit. Here you will see a Vibration option. Selecting this will give you plenty of options, including the Create New Vibration tool.

3. Hard reset when it crashes

Hold down the power button and the volume down button at the same time. Your phone should reset and come back to life. This way, you’re not tricked by the faux Home button, and you aren’t left with a brick of a phone after it crashes.

4. You Don’t have to Read

Text Messages or email while you’re on the move? Under “General Settings” use Speech in Accessibility and let your iPhone read everything to you. You can even set a  swipe shortcut to have your phone immediately read content from the page you’re on.

5. Don’t forget about Siri

Let Siri know who your people are.

Ask Siri to call your Mom, Insurance Agent, or even your favorite restaurant. First, she’ll ask you for their name, then if you want her to remember it. Now when you ask Siri to call your favorite pizza place, she’ll already know what number to call.

Siri will also check Twitter or set an alarm for you. If you add your address to your phone number, Siri will even tell you how to get home, from anywhere. Just say “Siri take me home”.
